Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Marketing or similar field preferred

ESTIMATING AND BIDDING
Actively seek out new projects - understand the specifications of the bid request.
Resolves any issues that require clarification with the potential client.
Visits the job site to ensure that usual site or production requirements are properly considered in the bid.
Obtains pricing information in a timely manner from vendors for inclusion in the bid.
Uses the correct labor rates as provided by the Office Manager/Bookkeeper or President.
Completes a bid package in accordance with company policy and customer requirements.
Reviews the estimate and the bid package with the President in accordance with company policy and customer requirements.
Submits the bid.
Follows up on the bid as noted in the commercial bid policy and provides post-bid information, if required.
Follows up with the potential clients on lost bids to determine the reason and debriefs the President.
Updates the bid log as bid status changes.
Ensures that all physical and electronic information related to bids are filed completely, as described in company policy.
Experience in project estimating and writing proposals preferred.
Experience in working with governmental agencies preferred.
Good communication Skills.

Willingness to get the job complete and meet company deadlines.
Ability to manage all aspects of a job from initial client meetings to completion of construction.
